Profile: Devlin Lombardi 2-4He woke up with a whipping back hand to the face, and soon enough learned that the ship his group destroyed was under control of the Knaves of Tidal, a tightly-interlaced group of notorious pirates from around the globe, each having influence that spread across countries. The ship carried the only copies of gold transference routes across the entire ocean, and many of them crumbled to ashes in the fire. They found the ring that Devlin's sister gave to him on his thirteenth birthday in the wreckage, and "asked" around for the owner, before finding him. After some beat down time, the leader of the Knaves, Captain Darvestian "The Harvestman" Fettel, brought Devlin to his feet so he may see how he was to repay them. What they brought out was a horror to Devlin beyond imagination.
Dropped plainly onto the floor before him was his little sister, only three months into her sixteenth year of life, covered in bruises, cuts, gashes, abrasions, bite marks, claw marks, and more. The Harvestman rev

It's been thirteen days since The Day the Earth Moved, and the world's public was cut off from each other by the destruction. The geographic disturbance broke billions of power lines and severed millions of pylons, so electricity levels were sliced to fractions upon fractions of what the world was used to. It was as if we had reversed back in time itself, back to the caveman years where the hammer was the pinnacle of human engineering.
It's a time where we don't sell houses, we build them we don't buy tools, we make them...and it's our skills at hunting, not our income, which decides how much we eat everyday. We survive on fire, sticks, and stones, and we defend ourselves against what's out there.
There are many things out there.
At first it was other people, merely scavenging for food, rioting in the chaos, but then other things emerged from the mist. The bodies of those who perished returned, decayed, bl

A Horror Novel By Isaiah Roa
Nowhere was safe, no one can be trusted, nothing's has escaped it's touch. I could feel the inhuman presence practically licking my heels as I ran, like a cold, misty fire. I could feel myself running through halls, in some building that I couldn't recognize, and every where I turned, the doors around me would open, and faces of the decrepit unholy kind would appear to me. No matter how fast or long I ran, they'd always be ahead of me, just waiting to mortify my eyes with their horrible, unnatural forms. I leapt through what felt like a window, hearing and feeling the glass shattering, and landed on the ground with a hard smash. Even the dust from the force of my fall took ghostly form as it rose up into the air, and I got to my feet quickly. As I continued to run down a wraithlike alley, black with misty white outlines, I could hear the intelligible sounds of phantoms conversing behind me. I then felt the sharp grasp
SeaCat Contest: Entry Three"I had my eyes closed in panic the entire time. All I could hear were explosions, destruction, and sounds of a battle occurring. Punches thrown and received, blows exchanged and taken, and then it sounded as if someone one was thrown into the cell door. More fighting, more violence, and then
I was weightless. I was being carried by someone, it was a familiar touch, but I couldn't be sure. The surrounding explosions and heat sort of clouded my focus. The wind blew through my hair as I flew through what I would guess was Mephiles' many halls. Then I heard the sound of glass shattering. Either a really big vase was knocked over in the confusion, or we broke out the window.
Through the slight openings in my hands I could see the night sky, then the ground took it's place. I was falling, this time without the grip I felt before. It was just me. I was afraid to open my eyes and see the whole thing, thinking I would faint at the sight.
Seems it didn't matter how well I saw it. The

Emra turned around with a bit of a shock. The minute she faced the inside of the room, she could feel the chill of Mephiles' presence running across her body. There he stood, nonchalant, calm, as if nothing had happened. Emra knew this was how he always acted, innocent but insidious at the same time. Seeing his face brought anger to her heart in an instant, and she instinctively went in for a nice good sock to his face. Unfortunately, Mephiles was never can easy target to hit. He merely stepped to the side, and Emra's fist only hit the air, and she, the floor. The white hedgehog could hear sinister laughs from her side.
"I think you've taken much better shots at me than that, my little Em..." Emra growled and quickly shot herself around, burying the side of her right hand into the demon's cheek. She then spun backwards and onto her feet, stepping back and readying herself for a fight. His face was turned in an impossible angle, his neck twisted

It haunts me in my dreams and in the waking world. Every day I relive the horror that occurred not even two days ago when I saw my beloved engulfed by tentacles of fire, from an explosion caused by "him" Mephiles. He's taken me away to this horrible place, and even made it complete with a balcony, to taunt my hopes of escape.
I should jump jump just to show him how much I care for Shadow, how much I care for freedom how much I care to never have to see his crystal-strewn face ever again, by any means necessary.
It's pointless though. I know he's waiting for me to do just exactly that, and then he'll appear out of nowhere, catch me by the foot and slowly place me back up onto the balcony. That's what he does mock people with their fears and woes and then when they are pushed over the edge, knocks them back down to their pitiful, pathetic selves.
I hate him hate him with a passion. For killing my love, for ruining
